An impressive and spacious villa, it’s perfect for large groups and families looking to be in an oasis of tranquillity with the highlights of Funchal within easy reach. It’s less than a 15 minute drive into the heart of Funchal, while nearby you have an array of restaurants, cafes and a shopping centre. WiFi, pool heating in the outdoor pool and air conditioning/ heating in 4 of the bedrooms are included.

With sweeping views from the gated infinity pool, of the glistening sea and across Funchal, you might struggle to draw yourself away. If you do though, you’ll find equally beautiful outdoor areas to enjoy. With lovely lawn spaces, comfortable seating and dining areas along with sun loungers to relax under the rays, there is plenty of space to unwind in. Taking advantage of Madeira’s wonderful climate, the gardens are filled with beautiful tropical plants and trees. There is also an indoor pool, perfect for an early morning dip, accessed externally. Outside you’ll find a lovely covered terrace and BBQ nearby to enjoy a flame kissed meal whilst soaking up the stunning surroundings.

There are 5 spacious bedrooms split across 2 floors at Villa Ross. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom along with a single bedroom that also has a pull out bed, suitable for a child. The single bedroom does not have air conditioning. You’ll also find a bathroom with shared use between the bedrooms and a WC on the ground floor. On the first floor are 3 double bedrooms, 1 of which has an en suite bathroom. All 3 bedrooms have access to a terrace. A shared bathroom completes the first floor. Outside you’ll find an external shower, ideal for rinsing off after a swim.

Villa Ross is an impressive house with plenty of room for everyone to unwind. In the lounge you’ll find a bright and relaxing space with comfortable sofas and armchairs positioned to take in the incredible views through the floor to ceiling sliding doors. In the games room, on the other side of the villa, you’ll find a pool table and flat screen TV. Large glass doors open out to the pool terrace and one of the covered terraces at the front of the villa. The fully equipped kitchen with dining table has everything you need to prepare some delicious meals whilst on holiday. At the rear of the property you have a external utility room with washing facilities.

The villa is located at the end of a cul de sac. From the road a set of gates leads you to the front door, which opens into a foyer area. To the left is an internal door to the garage which has parking for one car. In the foyer there is a lift which also takes you up to the main villa entrance. To the right is a door which leads you to the external 43 steps up to the main entrance door to the villa. This front door opens into a grand hallway with a piano and dining area.

Located just below the Pico Dos Barcelo viewing point, famous for its stunning vista of Funchal, Villa Rostrum holds an enviable position. The panorama that can be enjoyed from the villa is simply breathtaking especially on New Year’s Eve when the sky dazzles with fireworks. Near the villa, within a few minutes’ drive, are a handful of restaurants, bars, cafes and a large shopping centre. Funchal is a delightful city with many fascinating things to discover. From the delicious eateries in the charming Old Town to the botanical paradise of Monte Palace gardens, there’s plenty to explore.
